Linen · base shadeMade by hand, in MN.
Sunnbalm is produced in monthly batches at a small Minnesota facility. Every jar passes through human hands at every stage — no contract manufacturers, no factory lines, no shortcuts.
Render.
Tallow renders low and slow for several hours — wet-rendered, not high-pressure dry-rendered, so the fat-soluble vitamins survive intact. The result is a soft, near-neutral fat.
Blend.
Tallow, beeswax, zinc, cocoa — folded into a single warm lipid matrix. Hand-stirred, never sheared. Five batches per release, one per cocoa percentage.
Pour.
Each jar is poured by hand while the matrix is still warm. Lidded immediately. Cooled slowly so the fat crystallises into a stable structure instead of going grainy.
Ship.
Out of our Minnesota facility, hand-labelled with a batch code, packed in a corrugated sleeve, dropped at the local post office. Usually at your door inside a week.
