Non-nano zinc oxide

Zinc oxide is a mineral powder produced when zinc burns in air. It's been used in topical skin preparations since the late 1800s and remains one of the most-studied minerals in personal care, with a long-documented safety record.
We use a non-nano grade — particle size larger than 100 nanometres — which research has consistently shown does not penetrate intact skin. It sits at the surface of the stratum corneum where it does its work, rather than passing into deeper layers or the bloodstream.
