Tallow is rendered fat — historically the base of every body balm before modern petrochemicals replaced it. Grass-fed tallow specifically is rich in vitamins A, D, E, K, and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).
Its lipid profile is uncannily close to human sebum, which is why it absorbs the way it does — into the skin, not onto it. It carries the zinc and cocoa with it as it melts.
